Szarka returns as a junior after a breakout 2025 season in which he led the Mountain West with 13 rushing touchdowns and averaged 92.2 rushing yards per game. He also threw nine touchdowns against five interceptions and posted three straight 200-yard passing, 110-yard rushing games to start his career. With fullback Owen Allen also back after five 100-yard games last year, Air Force's triple-option attack remains potent, especially behind an offensive line that returns two full-time starters and experienced senior Luke Vonderhaar.
After allowing 30.3 points per game and ranking 10th in the Mountain West in total defense last season, the Falcons bring back almost every starter in the linebacking corps and secondary.
