What Makes Blue Chip Analytics Different?

We love college football.

Blue Chip Analytics started as our own weekend project - we got tired of spending hours every week hunting down weather forecasts, calculating travel distances, and trying to figure out why our "sure thing" bets kept losing.

The data we wanted simply didn't exist in one place.

Sure, you can find power rankings online (and there are some great sources) and weather on your phone. But try finding how far Alabama have travelled this month, how the wind will hit Husky Stadium or which teams could struggle with elevation changes. When does wind speed actually starts affecting the over/under? Is home field advantage properly accounted for in the line? Every week we had the same questions.

We built the site we wished existed.

Every Saturday, we were doing the same research - checking weather, calculating travel distances, trying to understand why good teams sometimes failed to cover the spread. So we gathered it all. We automated it. We made it simple.

Now you get your edge in minutes, not hours.

The weather impact you need to know. The travel factors that matter. The situational advantages that separate smart fans from lucky guessers. All in one place, updated daily, completely free.

Because we know what it's like to love this game enough to dig deeper.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Blue Chip Analytics all about?

Most analysts, bettors and fans focus on power ratings and CLV and there is an abundance of data available on these topics. However, when it comes to making game day decisions there are other factors to consider. That’s where we come in.

2. What data does Blue Chip Analytics include?

We look mostly at environmental factors, such as weather, travel distance, body clock, stadium capacity and elevation. The elements that can impact a game that are not captured in a power ranking (or power rating).

3. Is it free to use?

Yes, Blue Chip Analytics is free to use without restriction, although we would appreciate acknowledgement.

4. Where does the data come from?

We use a wide range of data sources, including our own database and various APIs. The schedule data comes from collegefootballdata.com and the weather data comes from weatherapi.com. Stadium Maps come from OSMnx. Betting data is taken from leading, widely available sportsbooks. We do not intend for this site to be used to track line movement so please take all lines as indicative.

If you see any data that looks incorrect please reach out by email, Twitter/X, or through our Contact Us form.
